Trevithick Day 2010
Trevithick Day on Saturday April 24th is the annual celebration of the life of Richard Trevithick, a Cornishman who is famed for inventing the steam carriage in 1802. To demonstrate the technology he drove a steam carriage up Camborne Hill to the wonder of those who watched, and to celebrate that occasion 200 years later, a replica of that engine was again driven up Camborne hill to the delight of all.
We have a number of Cornish themed gift ideas, and jewellery detailed with the popular Celtic design associated with the County, and will be open on the day between 9.30am and 5pm. Have a great day!
