Trevithick Day on Saturday April 30th is the annual celebration of the life of Richard Trevithick, a Cornishman who is famed for inventing the steam carriage in 1802. Click on the image of the steam traction for a closer look at one of engines in Camborne on the day.

We have a number of Cornish themed gift ideas,  including Cornish tin jewellery, Cornwall tankards and hip flasks plus a range of the popular Celtic design jewellery.  We will be open on the day between 9.30am and 5pm. Have a great day!

Surfing clocks in Cornwall

Cornwall is reknowned for its surfing and leisure lifestyle, due to the fact that is virtually surrounded by the sea. Magazines dedicated to Cornwall enthuse about the rugged coastline which lends itself to watersports. Iconic vehicles closely linked to the surfing scene are the Volkswagen Camper and beetle, and these vehicles have been captured in miniature detail complete with surfboards in the form of desktop clocks. These clever little clocks have quartz accuracy and make a fun gift for the surfer in your family. Drop in and take one for a test drive.

Novelty car clocks

We have just taken delivery of a new range of cars, which not only look good but ingeniously have a clock built in that actually looks like it should be there. Cars and other designs covering lots of different interests, for that hard to find gift the recipient will love. Showing great attention to detail, these clocks will suit a desk or computer table, and with quartz accuracy show the right time too. What are you waiting for? Pop into Roy Doble jewellers in Camborne and Helston.
